Hearts of Steel
During the month of April Pool of Life were contacted by Lynn – a breast cancer survivor who paddles with Pittsburg Hearts of Steel in the USA.
Lynn was visiting England and would be in Liverpool on May 19th. She asked to meet Pool of Life members and, if possible, go for a paddle with us.
The weather was glorious as we made our way down to the Albert dock, showing just how beautiful our city is.
After circling Albert Dock a couple of times we made our way back to the watersports centre, practising some racing techniques along the way.
Back at the centre it was time for refreshments, lots of chatting and an exchange of gifts before Lynn and her family contiuned on to their next destination.
