Pink Paddle

Every month, usually on the first Sunday, Pool of Life has a ‘pink paddle’ for members who want a gentler session or for new members who want to come along and have a go.

We normally paddle through the docks whilst undertaking technical training on our paddle stroke.

We meet at the Watersports Centre at 9.45 am, warm up at 10.00, then paddle from 10.15 to 12.15, ending with a cool down. Most Pink Paddles include a coffee break midway at the Albert Dock.

Please contact us to let us know you are interested in attending.

See you on the water!

Regular Training Session

Training sessions are a great way to improve your paddling technique and build your stamina.

More advanced techniques – such as race starts, pause action and feathering – will be taught. We will race against the clock and try to improve our times.

The sessions will be longer, typically an hour and a half on the water. There won’t be a coffee break! Anyone who needs a rest can bring their paddle into the boat.

We may be preparing for a specific Dragon Boat racing event, or just improving our style and fitness levels.
