Fundraising and Pool of Life Awareness Day at Tesco.
Pool of Life had an amazing day at Park Road Tesco in Toxteth on Saturday, 7th September.
Very kind customers were eager to engage with us and a total of £397.36 was collected in our donation buckets. But it’s not just about the money raised – from…
the little girl who’d just found 1p and donated it,
the guy who’d won £10 on a scratchcard and thought we were a very worthy cause to pass it on to,
the people who quietly walked over and dropped money into the buckets (some donating £20 notes),
and those who just came over for a chat.
Every one of them made our day special.
Thanks also to Tesco Community Champion Shelly Whitmore who made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Shelley also sorted out a donation of three carrier bags of supplies for our refreshment table at next week’s fundraiser (September 14th at St Peter’s Church Hall, in Woolton).
