After a lovely morning welcoming new members to our pink paddle, Pool of Life members enjoyed a lovely meal on the newly refurbished Royal Daffodil. The service was very good and meals were delicious and the cocktails and drinks are quite nice too. It is a beautiful floating venue, based at the entrance to the Albert Dock.
Many Liverpudlians will remember this Ferry. It was originally named the Overchurch, later MV Royal Daffodil – during her lifetime she carried countless passengers across the River Mersey during 50 years of active service. From fond memories of family trips or connections to seafaring past, Daffodil embodies a shared social heritage that means so much to us all.
