Bradford Dragonboat Festival, 2025
Sunday, June 29th, 2025 saw the Pool of Life racing team head to Roberts Park in Bradford to compete in the Super Cup Division of The Lord Mayor’s ‘Race the Dragon’ event.
The weather was glorious, the atmosphere fantastic, and the competition tough.
We tried our best and although we didn’t manage to get first place, we still consider ourselves to be winners.
Sue and Kerry were pleased to collect the second place trophy on behalf of the team
As well as racing we did manage to fit in other fun activities.
Some were considering a career change.
Others promoted the benefits of dragonboating.
Don’t say men can’t multitask. Ant was very capable of teaching us the House of Bamboo dance – whilst eating his chips.
And we finally got to wish Kerry all the best for her wedding (albeit after the event as work kept her busy beforehand).
